Description
When the moon risesshe scatters beautiful beads
for weary ronin.
Yaaay. I wrote a haiku.
Ronin is a lordless, homeless samurai. They are "companions of the dew." I found this out yesterday. ^^
She's supposed to be floating. x-x So she isnt really that tall, k?
This is for the kimono contest being held at
Ink, marker, pencil, acrylic, and photoshop for added lighting effects.

Okay. Now that I've stopped drooling I shall critique and comment. I really like how it looks like she and the moon are glowing. It's very pretty and makes this piece look very phantasmal (to coin a word that E.A. Poe liked to use) and surreal. I love the colors you used and the way the kimono looks like it's floating and moving with the wind. It reminds me of the traditional Japanese art, though the clouds in the back are a bit box-shaped for that. Over all I love this image. Huzzah!

I noticed that most of the comments you were getting were along the lines of "wow!" and "this is so beautiful!". I like to get comments with more depth to them too so I try to take the time to let the artists I'm commenting on know what I'm thinking about their work and why instead of just saying I like it and not giving them any reason for it. Vague comments like that don't help people better their skills. It also doesn't really seem to show the artist that their hard work is being acknowledged and noticed.
