Description This is my entry for the "bring your vision to life contest". St Michael is about to give the final blow to a frightened Devil. Michael shows no pity for the poor Lucifer.
This is made with Photoshop and a Wacom Bamboo tablet. I added the elements of the Intuos campaign for fun, because the contest rules say I can.
Please vote for me!! Any comment is welcome!

Okay? I follow God and people seem to like me. I dunno what your problem is.
secondly, if you actually read the bible, he is patient with non believers and willing to grant them salvation. He wanted us all to calm down and be cool with each other. He loves us all and that is that.
now where the cruel part? Or are you some idiot who jumps to conclusions about God and is just a plain old blasphemer even though you know nothing that's in the bible?

Lets see. God orders his people to commit genocide a few times. God ruins Job's life for a bet. God drowns the world. God has a schoolyard of children mauled by bears for laughing at a bald guy. God makes humans curious, then punishes them for being curious. God punishes humans when they stop being sociopaths--that is what having knowledge of good and evil means, isn't it? God destroys two cities for their wickedness, except for the family in which the daughters wind up raping their father. God will kill you for crop rotation and wearing mixed fabrics. God plays favorites, which winds up being the reason for the first murder. Oh, and don't forget that God created evil, since he made everything and all. He could have given us a choice between kinds of good, or between good and shnu??qui or whatever, but no. He, in his nonexistent wisdom, allowed pain and hate and fear.

How is God the good one again? Because personally, I'll go with Satan. He barely kills anyone, and he makes some damned good points.

Remind me, where does God make us commit genocide? Read the bible, moron.
WTF do you get that?
God wants us to act questions. In fact he encourages it. He wants people to know. Again, read the bible, moron.
Now if you're refering to people who leave the religion, if they live a sinless life they go to heaven, but if they continue to spread hate about God and his followers (no offense, you) then those are who he punishes.
He did this in the old testament, because everyone there was acting violent beyond salvation. No one follows the old testimat, you moron. We're following then we testament: Jesus's teachings.
Most anything you've mentioned is just you randomly being mad and going off a tangent or Old Testament. Either you haven't read the bible and are looking at what's happening in the Middle East and thinks that's us or you've only read the Old Testament and are using that to judge. My advice: read a book and study before you start tearing off being someone insane...because you're wrong.
oh yeah, he gives us the choice to follow him. Lucifer had the choice, God loved him the most and Lucifer spat in his face.
god bless you and I pray that you find the right path

Jesus also said that all the lunatic rules of the old testament still applied. And even if he hadn't, the two have the same God. Just because Jesus seemed like a nice guy doesn't mean that his God isn't a bastard.

Lucifer was victim to the Injustice of the Lord.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?Β
Then he is not omnipotent.Β
Is he able, but not willing?Β
Then he is malevolent.Β
Is he both able and willing?Β
Then whence cometh evil?Β
Is he neither able nor willing?Β
Then why call him God?

The way through heaven is through Jesus. Yes we teach the old testament, but we don't act like that because Jesus said the way through heaven is through him. Why is the old different from the new? Well, the people in the Old Testament where a bunch of people (not really prophets) that didn't unerstand god. A storm hits...ITS GODS PUNISHMENT! And then the New Testament is peacful, why? Because the person interpreting it was different, someone who knew God. God sent Jesus down in HIS image. To represent HIM. Site the verse that says the Old Testament applies. From what I've read out of my bible it says that he says to teach it because it happened. Just like slavery, we reached that it happened. So by your logic we're still evil. Not even close.
Lucifer began to question gods authority. God enjoyed it and encouraged him to ask questions. Then Lucifer wanted to rule himself and tried to throw him off the throne. The Angels where made to lovingly serve him. And humans have a hard time with this, they're made to lovingly serve him. He wanted power and it sent him to hell. He wanted to destroy God, yeah, hard to absorb. First he thought about it, then doubted, and then when humans where created he lead them into temptation and lead a rebellion against God all because he wanted power.
Yes, God can destroy Evil...why not? Then people won't follow him out of love, they'll be scared to follow him. He wants us to choose to follow him.Β

Tell that to the bastards who say they're Christian and spew hate non-stop. And yes, they still apply. "For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Β Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."Β (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV)Β "It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." Β (Luke 16:17 NAB)Β "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. Β I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Β Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." Β (Matthew 5:17 NAB)Β "All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness..." Β (2 Timothy 3:16 NAB)Β "Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God." (2 Peter 20-21 NAB)

I want to destroy god, he seems to deserve it. And fuck, who doesn't want power? Not to mention that a god who creates people just so they can worship him is a narcissistic fuckhead we're all better off without. God's authority should be questioned, because he makes questionable decisions.

Who said anything about destroying evil? Your god put it there in the first place! He made a world in which evil was possible, that's entirely on him. And obviously he DOESN'T want us to have a choice, or he wouldn't punish us for making the wrong one. A father who comes up with insane tests of his kids' love, complete with torture for failure, is a father who should be in prison for child abuse.

Actually, no, Jesus never said to follow the Old Testament, he said to teach it, but not follow. I'm reading the bible, thank you very much, so I would know.
also, Jesus represents who God is and is his son/true prophet. So all this "Old Testament" is really a poor argument, because Jesus is the way to heaven, he said so, you follow the old testamentit don't matter, the way to heaven is through him. Period. New Testament=Jesus.

you want to destroy your creator...interesting. I think you're balls out crazy, but I mean that's my opinion, you go with that.

lucifer is gods child, it isn't the same as a nation overthrowing another, it's a little child trying to fight his father. And Lucifer is his son, and is supposed to follow, just like im ure you followed your parents, no matter how crazy it may seem, why? Because you love them and listen to their word.

Did you not read all of those quotes I just gave you? You know, from that book you're supposedly reading?

I think whoever created a world this fucked up is a sadistic moron we need to get rid of, yes.

I asked my parents why they wanted me to do things. If they didn't have good answers I laughed at them and wandered off, as is the right of an intelligent child. Love isn't slavish obedience, and if my parents had been anything like as abusive as your god is I'd have stabbed them in their sleep. Abused children should hate their parents, anything else is bullshit, and a father who condemns his children to death the first time they disobey is sickeningly abusive.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NorthStars4ever In reply to GuesssWho9 [2015-03-09 03:56:05 +0000 UTC]

I understand those quotes. BUT, what they are refering to isn't the Old Testament. If you read it, the Old Testament is a bunch of random people accounting stuff that happened, no laws. Our "laws" are the 10 commandments, which is what our belief system is based off of. I didn't say because I thought this was clearly obvious. All these "inspired by God" comes from the one true prophet: Jesus Christ.

my advice: just try

well if children haven't been abused (like God loving lucifer the most, even though God doesn't have favorites) then there's no reason for rebellion. Lucifer felt greed and lust and treachery etc. etc. And when God created a fruitful race of people with free will, he try to destroy gods will by making them eat the apple and disobey and ultimatley become the "violent" race we are today.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GuesssWho9 In reply to NorthStars4ever [2015-03-09 13:36:58 +0000 UTC]

Nope, all the fucked-up laws in the Old Testament are still laws. Jesus was Jewish, he was a religious scholar, he would have known damn well that people did their best to obey every lunatic rule the Bible had. When he said every law he meant it.

Just because it can't be done doesn't make me wrong.

Either God has favorites or not, pick one. And since Lucifer was created directly by God, greed and lust and treachery were also made directly by God. Otherwise Lucifer created things from nothing, by accident, in which case he IS just as powerful as God--or close enough to make no difference. Either way, God winds up being abusive.

If God gave us free will, he intended us to use it. Otherwise why bother? And the tree is of knowledge of good and evil. Without that we would be sociopaths, not knowing right from wrong. In any case, making us curious and then forbidding us from finding things out is the kind of mentality that invented the boxing-glove-on-a-spring. It's what you do when you're looking for someone to punish. It's cruel.

The ten Comandments came in the Old Testament to Moses (the only laws there are, the Old Testament isn't really laws, just a bunch of people who aren't prophets going around and doing stuff) whom proceeded to smash the stones because no one would follow them. These quotes you mention only say follow laws, no where did they say "follow Old Testament." And the only "laws" are the Ten Commandments. I am not excluding Jesus was a Jew, he was, and he was trying to Reform Judaism, by adding the fact he's son of God and anything he says (like all the peace) is what God wants. This wasn't actually written down, until Constantine decided to write it down.

god isn't SUPPOSED to have favorites...but he did.

yeah, he wanted us to use it without being tempted by the being who wanted to destroy us (Lucifer)! Lucifer was jealous because we where better than the archangels or him. Yeah, he doesn't care about us, he just wants us to sin and suffer. The whole point of getting them to eat the apple WAS qb attempt to make us do evil and suffer.

GuesssWho9 In reply to NorthStars4ever [2015-03-09 18:14:45 +0000 UTC]

Are you kidding? The Old Testament is FULL of laws! Most of them are stupid as fuck, too, like the one about not wearing linen and wool at the same time. Plus the Commandments forbid graven images, so why are you on this site at all? It's full of images!

So God is flawed, then?

. . . Lucifer didn't put the tree there. God did. How do you not get the problems involved with that?

NorthStars4ever In reply to GuesssWho9 [2015-03-09 19:01:42 +0000 UTC]

Not the Ten Commandments, I'm not sure what YOURE talking about. Read the ten commandments:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Co… I dunnno what balls out thing you're reading.
These laws are written by people...not prophets. As a Christian I follow Christs teachings, in the New Testament. He openly says "the way to heaven is through me" in otherwords, follow my teachings, which are New Testament.

Im not sure where you get that thinking. He loves all his angels...just...he had better feelings to Lucifer.

He put it there to test the humans. And maybe we would've passed if not for Lucifer.

GuesssWho9 In reply to NorthStars4ever [2015-03-10 09:29:15 +0000 UTC]

I'm talking about the same part of the bible that fundies use to rant about the evil of gays/lesbians/whatever pisses them off this week. Which you should know about, if you've ever actually looked at the damned book.

I got that from you saying that had favorites and wasn't supposed to. That is, in fact, a flaw.

So what? Why did he need to test anyone, if he wanted us to have free will? You can't say you want people to have free will and then complain when they use it, that's just being a hypocrite. If he wanted us to be good he shouldn't have created evil. For that matter, why test anything at all? He's God, he should know the results of everything before it happens.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NorthStars4ever In reply to GuesssWho9 [2015-03-10 14:27:13 +0000 UTC]

Well YOU didn't say that. YOU said Ten Commandments and I gave you them! First off, the only thing possibly saying "evil" is "a man shall not lie with a man as a man lies with a woman." But again we follow "love the sinner hate the sin." We are supposed to love the sinner even though what they do may bother us.

okay? But it was ultimatley his descision to favor him.

Wouldn't have complained what they did, but he would've preferred it to be THEIR descision instead of LUCIFER'S. And maybe after a while they would've eaten it...who knows? Lucifer tempted them to eat it. The results might've been different had it only been Adam and Eve in the garden.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GuesssWho9 In reply to NorthStars4ever [2015-03-10 23:00:16 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I said that. The other things are also laws. And there's no reason for any of those things to be sins, because most of them are ridiculous.

Exactly, that's why he's flawed.

It was still their decision. Pointing out the flaws in God's reasoning is not the same as making the decision for them. In any case, God knew what would happen already. Like I keep saying.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NorthStars4ever In reply to GuesssWho9 [2015-03-11 00:32:45 +0000 UTC]

That's what you believe and I follow the Ten Commandments and anything Jesus ever said. And he's instructed me to follow the commandments and what he's said.

you keep telling yourself that

still either way, had they not been tempted and tricked they might've made a different descision. Anything that God does ultimatley has to be good for everyone. That's his hard descision...like taking my grandads...it's his choice and I know it was for their sake and others.
