awww...it looks like a little kid and his green dog. i really love the feel of the sky in this one. it's like that intake of breath right after sunset, getting ready for nighttime excitement, but still full of daylight fire.
i always end up talking like that when i think about your art. it just fits. sorry if it bothers you.

I find the black on both sides to be a bit distracting and that i'd be better without them. But it's a VERY good picture itself. I can't even critique the actual picture it's just that good.

I can't rememeber if I already commented on this or not, but what the heck, can't hurt if i forgot. This painting is how I feel every beginning and end of summer. The kind of excitement the schools is over, and the sadness of the daily schedule and people over as well, and at the end of the summer, the excitement to see everybody again and see new teachers *well, I'm a dork and I get excitred for english >> << * and the empty hole the forms once you leave your summer friends and memories behind. *this year it took me two months to get over post part-summer depression, it was baddddd man.* Every time I see this picture I feel so inspired to start working on something.

There is something quite wrong when a deviation has more than twice as many favs as comments. Okay, okay, so I'll fav it too, but I'm determined to add a comment as well, even though I know you probably never have the time to look at the dang things.
The magical realism in this piece grips me. I remembered it for years, though I couldn't decide whether to fav it or not. The shops on the street look normal, but also from a world far apart, as well as the kid's gear. Backpack... sneakers... glowy green cat thing? Blimps? It all makes you look at it twice and wonder. A neat cross of the fantastic, like the sparkly plant, and the technological, like the clock tower and the double-decker bus.
There. My conscience is happy now.

It pretty much goes without saying that this is beautiful. I adore the colors. The complexity and "scrunchness" of the space toward the bottom in comparison to the vastness of the top. It's very pleasing.
