So, a new series begins! The fan appreciation contest was won by and we are collaborating, heavily, on this new series. It's an interesting thing from my perspective since I"m not really 'choosing' any models this time around. But it's actually a lot of fun! It's great to see what others think and who they pick to portray certain characters. Selma Hayek, here, was a no-brainer for us with this picture. The base picture already made you think of 'Gaia', I just nudged it. It's also interesting to note that Gaia was actually supposed to represent ALL nationalities of the earth. Quite the tall order to fill. What's interesting is that blue eyes are actually a mutation in genetics, which makes it rare. One might think, then, that brown eyes would be more common and thus more all-people-like. But I digress. I'm extremely happy with how this came out!

Oh, and don't think the rest of the Planeteers are going to look so PG. As always, I'll be sexifying your childhood....sorta.
