Incandescence flew through the foggy sky as she looked down at the barren land that was recently her cousin's domain. She wasn't flying to anywhere in particular, just checking out anywhere. She could see dragons gorge surfing, gem eating, or just lazing around.

She then looked closer to the outskirts as she saw a large purple dragon sitting leaning into the ground.

Odd. What's he doing, Incandescence thought. Maybe he found a gem hole or something.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a slight rumble in her stomach.

Wonder if there's any amethyst in there.

The dralicorn swooped down to Spurt only to see upon further investigation, that there were no gems in sight. Instead, Spurt had his nose in-

"Flowers?"

Spurt sprang up in surprise at the noise, a flower plucked out in his claws, only to see Incandescence standing confusingly.

"Oh Fluffy, it's just you", Spurt sighed in relief. Incandescence looked at the flowers in curiosity. Spurt looked to where her eyes were, before chuckling nervously.

"T-They're Gorge Flowers", Spurt explained. "I..Sometimes whenever they grow by the borders, I like to go out..and smell them."

Incandescence looked down. The Gorge Flowers were white with yellow centers that spread around the petals, looking like yellow flames around the petals. She then looked back at Spurt, who sniffed heavily into the one in his claws.

"Yeah, it's kind of silly", Spurt said rubbing the back of his head. "But..they rarely grow around here so, when they do..it's just", Spurt paused to sniff at the flowers by his feet. "They're very lovely."

Incandescence looked down at a small bouquet of gorge flowers and leaned in to sniff. They did indeed smell lovely, especially compared to the smells of brimstone and ash.

Suddenly, her nose twitched as she felt a tingling sensation. She inhaled sharply, before violently expelling a large sneeze and flames.

"ACHOOO!!"

Incandescence opened her eyes again, to find the gorge flowers gone. She looked around nervously, only to see the flowers unharmed, and spread across her mane.

"And" Spurt started to say. "They're also fire-resistant."

Incandescence giggled, as she looked at the flowers in her mane. In good humor, Spurt took the one in his claws and put it by his horns. The 2 laughed as they looked back down at the remaining flowers.

"You're right", Incandescence said. "The flowers d-d-do look lovely."
Spurt looked at Incandescence, and found himself greeted to a vision of a night sky, interrupted by yellow and white flowers spread in it like fireworks. In between the sky, there stood a shy gray face buried between it with long pink ears. And in that, bright dark blue eyes shining nervously at him, with a small shy smile.
Spurt looked at it, almost holding his breath, surprisingly mesmerized.

“Yeah…and somehow now even lovelier”, the words slipped out of his mouth with little thought.
Incandescence looked ahead and started to blush madly. "R-R-Really?"

Spurt started to sputter, before deciding to roll with it and continue from it.

"Yeah. I never would've guessed Gorge Flowers look so good next to your nighttime mane...I really like it."

The 2 smiled at each other nervously. "W-W-Well, the same could be said for your purple spikes."

"Gee, thanks", Spurt took the compliment nervously. The 2 darted eyes between each other back and forth nervously, trying to look for something else to say.

"Hey, you know..." Incandescence started to say. "I-I-It's been so long since we've just..hung out. Maybe sometime you..w-w-wanna go lava swimming or gorge surfing while I'm here?"

"YES!"

Spurt calmed back down to recollect himself. "I mean, yeah I'd-I'd like that."

The 2 smiled and leaned in to each other closer before-

"BABY COUSIN!!"

The 2 were interrupted by a blue dralicorn butting in the space between them.

"I've been looking all over for you! Hey come on, I gotta show you some awesome stuff I learned with my title!"

She forcibly grabbed Incandescence's arm and started to fly off in excitement. Incandescence followed hastily leaving a trail of Gorge Flowers falling down gracefully, leaving a trail on the ground.

Spurt picked on of the fallen ones up from the ground, and sniffed it blissfully. He wasn't sure what just happened, but he liked it.

"Wow."

Boy this was a long one.

A sequel to this .

Incandescence and Spurt catching up more privately until Cockblock Dragon Lord Lenore interrupts them.

They were good friends since childhood, but the mysterious powers of hormones looks to develop that.

I definitely made Spurt bigger than normal and Incandescence smaller than normal. I love size differences, especially with tall guys and short girls.

Totally made up Gorge Flowers, flowers that grow around gorges (dragons are very creative namers). Got another pic explaining them more in the works.
