"Man, there's s many cool things out here! We have gorge surfing and fire belching contests, oh man! And next month is Clawchella! Oh, you're gonna have so much fun"

Incandescence listened to Spurt ramble on as they walked on the rocky terrain, to where Incandescence wasn't sure.

"Hey, SPURT!"

The 2 turned around to see a maroon draglet around their age came towards their direction.

"You wanna play a good old game of King of the Hoard?"

Despite the question, his tone sounded sinister, like he had more than just King of the Hoard planned out.

"Not now, I'm busy", Spurt answered, his energetic voice now going monotone and dripping with annoyance. He hastily turned away, but the draglet was persistent.

"Hey, hey, hey, whaddya mean "too busy"? Or are you just afraid of another tail whipping?"

"I'm never afraid of seeing your tail get whipped, Mumble."

"I never said it would my tail getting whipped", Mumble retorted, before his attention turned to Incandescence. "Who the heck are you."

"Oh, uh, h-h-hi", Incandescence greeted, becoming nervous again. "I'm Inc-c-candescence."

"Hmph! I haven't seen you around here. What, you just come out of your egg or something?"

"N-No. I'm the same age as him", she pointed to Spurt.

Mumble scoffed. "Yeah right! You're probably still a baby! One who still eats mushed up gems and sleeps with a stupid blanket!

"N-No I'm not. I haven't slept with blanky for d-d-days."

Mumble laughed mockingly. "Uh-huh, sure."

Spurt spoke up again. "Relax dude, she's our age. She's just visiting."

"Oh, visiting. What kind of dragon isn't from the Dragon Lands?"

"Oh, I come from C-C-Canterloe, and visiti-"

"CANTERLOT", Mumble interrupted loudly. "Wait a minute", he then took a closer look at her. "Pony-like hair...pony-like fur...pony-like nose...Are you a PONY?!"

"NO!"

Incandescence then shrunk more to the ground. "A-At least not fully. M-M-My daddy's a dragon and-"

"You're a pony AND dragon", Mumble stood up on 2 legs as he walked towards Incandescence. "You're one of those pony-dragon FREAKS??"

"Mumble, stop it", Spurt called out to try and defend her. "Her mom's a princess!"

"Ohh", Mumble said sarcastically. "Not only are you part namby-pamby pony, but you're also part namby-pamby pony princess! Well then, let's give you a more royal greeting."

Incandescence shook in fear as he came closer.

"B-b-but the Dragon Lord", Incandesence started to say.

"Dragon Lord Ember says we need to be nice to ponies", he then forcibly grabbed her by the neck scruff as he clenched his free claw into a fist. "She never said anything about being nice to pony-dragon hybrids."

Incandesence gulped as she prepped for the punch. Spurt readied his own fists to fight, before a large voice rang out across the barren land.

"MUMBLE!!!"

Mumble immediately dropped Incandescence and looked to the source with a nervous face.

"C-COMING DAD!"

He turned back, breifly feigning dominance and hiding his fear.

"You got lucky", he said before he started running back to the source of the sound.

Incandescence looked at Mumble as he ran, while she was helped up from the ground by Spurt who asked, "Are you ok?"

She nodded, as she felt herself start to tear up.

"Don't worry about Mumble. We're not all like that. Besides, I think he's only like that because of his dad."

"H-H-His dad?"

"Yeah. His dad's one of the meanest dragons I've ever met, and I have 34 brothers and sisters."

Spurt looked over to Incandesence, who was still shaking, and the small tears started running down her cheeks."'

"Fluffy", he asked nervously.

"I-I-I lied", she said sniffing. "I still haven't given up on Blanky."

Spurt chuckled as he grabbed her around the shoulder in solace.

"Am I a baby and a..freak?"

Spurt looked at her with a smile. "I don't think you're a freak. I think you're fluffy, and a good listener. I like you."

Incandescence looked at him with a small smile.

Spurt then started to continue their walk. "And if it helps with the baby thing, I still suck my claw."

Incandescence looked at him a tad shocked, before taking a moment to think.

"Well, I still can't sleep without a st-st-story."

"Well,, I still like to be rocked to sleep."

"W-W-Well, I still wet my bed."

"Well, I still like eating pre-crushed sapphires."

"Oh yeah? Well...."

This went on for some time as the 2 continued their walk around the gorge.
