I did this so long ago, I don't even remember anything I can type up about it here.
This one was probably done the quickest out of all three, yet I think it is also my favourite.

Hey, I was wondering (this may sound like a really odd and out-of-the-blue question, sorry!), I don't suppose you did these for an Australian Higher School Certificate (HSC)?

Haha, i knew it! I'm doing my HSC next year (but i've started yr 12 now) and was looking through the Art Express catalogues in art class and saw yours a while back. I stumbled upon them now and they looked extremely familiar.
I'm not surprised you made it into art express, your major work is gorgeous, you're definately one of the digital artists i admire most! (plus it has dragons, which makes it that much more awesome 
Out of interest (because i'm at my wits end with the darned thing,) what kind of entries are you supposed to make in the process diary? I'm really not sure what i'm doing on that front, my entries just sound dull and irrelevant.

Oh that is awesome! I was told by my teachers that I was stupid if I didn't draw dragons, even though I kind of wanted to do something else haha. ;n; <3
My journal entries h a h a h a. . .
I'm pretty sure I did them the day I had to hand my diary in, all I did were some really rough 'thumbnail' sketches, a couple of lines of 'brainstorming' and then printed the finished images of on a5 and stuck them in. I think I used about 3 pages for each picture I did.
I know that some of the people in my class made entries more along the lines of a journal, with dates and stuff but I am too lazy for that.
They didn't even check my diary when they marked it though.

Haha, looking at your art, I think drawing dragons was a good idea, you draw them with such beauty and grace, and the composition is enchanting! Out of curiosity (you dont have to answer if you dont want to :3) what was your other idea?
Anyhow, yep, writing random entries and drawing random stuff. We just had our diaries asessed, so I was focusing on getting a couple of pages for marking, but now it doesn't really matter what's in it, the marking is done :3 Now I can neglect my diary, haha XD The problem was, i'm really not a 'diary' kind of person. Art for me is spontaneous and full of sudden energy, I hate getting bogged down with irritating diary entries whenever I get an idea!

I'm the same don't worry! Lots of my art is really just draw off the bat because I am bad at planning things so I just improvise. Planning is a good habit to get into though, especially if you want to do art or something at uni because you have to do a lot of diary work (I don't even do uni but I did a couple of units to pass some time and it was intense)

Thank-you so much! It's actually thought that Quetzalcoatl was a Quetzal bird, since when they fly their long tails make them look sort of like flying serpents, so yes!

Gosh I just love the composition and lighting in this. It's completely gorgeous; the way it filters through the red wings and catches on the edges of the forms! You picked a good pallet, too. It came out looking really polished and wonderful, I'm only sorry I haven't had time to comment until now :'D Great work!

These red featheres with the light shining through <3 And the trees in the background fading~ I also live these leaves where the light is shining through a bit too and the texture of them x3

Oh my, this is BEAUTIFUL. I'm particularly in love with the crest on his head...okay, and the tail. The tail is really amazing. And the scenery; that's really pretty too. The whole thing is fabulous.

The picture has become awesome as always, I love your way of digital colouring. The combination of red and green looks pretty. I especially love this huge leaves on the trees and the way the light is falling into the forest.
Only the form of wings(especially the right one) look a bit unnatrual, but you said that it is an older work

Hmm, my english isnΒ΄t so good, so it could be a bit difficult to explain, but I try! xD
The general shape of the right wing(from the dragons perspective) looks not so realistic because the area created by the armfeathers is to small in comparision to the long handfeathers. I donΒ΄t think that the dragon would get enough floation by those to fly, especially with itΒ΄s long body
Maybe the feathers could get some more texture, especially the large red ones in the arm area. In the way you coloured them they look a bit like thick leaves, I hope you know what I mean xD
But itΒ΄s still an awesome drawing
