Well...I had THOUGHT is was the funeral of someone close to them, but maybe it's actually the funeral of Merlin's hamster... Β
Merlin's Camelot memories of Freya and Arthur's funeral etc have come back to him and reincarnated Merlin couldn't help himself. Β He's popped the dead hamster into a small model boat and has set it on fire and pushed it out on the local pond.
Arthur has just spotted the irate park keeper running towards them...

"supply your own corpse"
I really love how simple this is, yet there's so much detail that isn't necessarily part of the drawing. Their emotions leap right off the page. I like the placement of the leaves and the grave - it add something. I'm not sure I can put it into words.

Thank you very much.
I'm really glad you thought the compostion worked okay. I'm so glad you thought the emotions came across too. Thank you very much.

Such a sad picture, but so well done. I love how much detail there is, without it being overwhelming.

Thank you very much.
It needed some details just to imply what was going on. But I was worried that if I filled in the whole background then it would detract from the importance of the figures.
(Plus, to be honest, I wasn't sure that I wouldn't mess up trying to put a whole background and end up with a bit of a muddle.)

You're very welcome.
I think that the details you added told a simple story, and we as viewers could fill in the details. I like how you've made those figures the centre of attention.
Keep up the great work!

Nice way to phrase it "supply your own corpse". The look on Arthurs face makes me think it's not someone he respected. But it was clearly someone close to Merlin. Great work on his expression

I makes more sense then what I thought. Merlins devastation was obvious

I was going for Merlin either sad or guilty, (or possibly both). And Arthur kinda "WTF This is truly rotten, but I can't deal with all this emotion sloshing about and I want to run away". :g:

oh g o o o o o o d !!! Oedipal complex is not my cup of tea, but it would be in my next life then :'o you're making me a hard life there my dear! XDD
I'm sure you're beautiful!!! you know, even if people have more perfect skin, perfect hair and all, if they are the one chosen for the magazines, they might not automatically be beautiful to me. When I like or love a person, she/he might not be the model, but I can't see the person how a stranger can see him/her, she/he is beautiful in my eyes. As well as a stupid insensitive evil person who could be a model is ugly for me.

hmmm.. well, not automatically I think, obviously you've got this pattern too many times, but I know an awesome person of 54 who get divorced and then found love, and is married to a rich man, and she's not pretty compared to him, she's not rich because she lost everything she had in the US during the crisis, she's overweight, and yet she found this very nice guy in Ireland, her previous husband was treating her badly, they had the same salary, they were both rich before, he was drinking and all. An now at 54, not pretty...she found her soulmate, so obviously the usual patter still prevail, but..you never know what will happen in life : )
