Acrylic on canvas board.(I couldn't find a reference photo of a hand in the right position, which is why the hand is a bit crappy. Oh well, you get the idea anyway.
)Edit: Just amended it to change the length of the little finger, (which was too short and bugging the hell out of me once I noticed it.)

Well, for me, I tend to think, that when art is just a hobby that I'm squeezing into the time when I'm not at work/commuting/doing housework then sometimes you just have to go, "Ach, close enough is good enough." and just let things go.
If you're too perfectionist then you'll never finish anything. (And I get bored easily and like to move on to the next picture.)

this is lovely... O.o IΒ΄m not inte the bbc merlin fandom at the moment (IΒ΄m obcessed with the Harry Potter series at the moment), but man... I still LOVE this paring! I donΒ΄t care if canon says different, they are wrong!! XD heh...

I've never gotten into Harry Potter. I do like the films, but they didn't grab me in a fannish way. (It's sometimes odd what things grab you into being a "fan", it's not always the best written series or whatever, there just has to be something about it that grabs your imagination.)
I believe Season 3 is coming on TV in the Autumn. I love seasons 1 and 2, so I'm desperately hoping that they keep it up.

I didenΒ΄t become a fan of the series untill I took time and read the last to books.
Wich I did not so long time ago, I stopped reading them when they came out after book five.
And now IΒ΄m stuck.. O.o
IΒ΄m not a fan of Rowlings writing style, it becomes stif quit easely. Probebly because
she allways write from Harry point of view. But she have created a rich fantasy wold, manny
different type of characters and enviroments.
Yea, it realy is strage.. what hooks me is usaly intresting characters and relationships. Merlin
must be the onely series where my favs are the main character/s. I usely like the ones that have a big impact
on the storyline, but you have to use youΒ΄r own imagination to make it a complete "3D" character.
Yey! Glad that is was this autom, I have to wait untill November for HP Deadly Hollows part 1. O.o
So maby IΒ΄ll have 2 obsesions later this year. heh.. kinda anoying. XD

I did start reading the first one, when it first came out, and I did find her writing style a bit duff, so I stopped. I never realised what a huge success she would become.
I am planning on reading them. Actually, I'm between books at the moment, I might start reading the first one tomorrow.

If I put is like this: My favorit character is usaly not the main character of the series. I I have never been mush of a Hero fan, I usaly like the one that are a bit darker. The ones that makes foolish mistakes but not nessesery an evil person. But it is different with the Merlin series, for some reson... aby because of the awsomess of marlin/Arthur slash and friendship.

I know what you mean. I like a character that's got a bit of depth to it. Sometimes an out-and-out hero can be a bit boring. It's nice to have a character with flaws.
Mind you, that's quite nice about "Merlin" I think, both Merlin and Arthur make mistakes, and although both of them are good guys, they both do things that are a bit dodgy.
(Merlin helping Uther to kill off his own kind for one thing. Some of the magic users coming after Uther seem pretty justified...)

How you continue to create such quality art in the time you do is astounding to me. Merlin has a very mature look about him in this pic. And the back of Arthur's head is looking hot, as it should.
The red of the background is pretty. I don't usually love red, but for some reason whatever shades you use always look lovely.
I HATE how hard it can be to find a good reference photo sometimes! D': But everything looks fine to me. The way you painted the chain mail is cool. I like Arthur's hair. And how you can add so many shades of color to something; even to the brown belt across his back. You're just such a great artist.
