They are chubby wee birds, and they enjoy their food. Bullfinches are not so common here as the other birds that I have featured, and these shots were very much quickies before they flew off.

They do have a chubby look to them you wouldnt think

One reason why they look chubby, Lucy, is because their feathers are puffed up to help insulate their bodies from the cold.
