Description

Let's get to the next redesign. Frankly, it's actually the redesign of the redesign of the original design.

It's time for the Mandrillus again.

From the beginning, I wanted to give this people's spaceships an organic look. Unfortunately, the first attempts were a disaster and even the versions of these ships that I originally published were more than bad.

So when I redesigned these spaceships for the first time, I gave up the organic look. But I was never satisfied with this second design either.

But now, after years of trying it out and thanks to two new add-ons, I'm finally getting the organic look I've always wanted. So another new edition of the Mandrillus ships.

Here you see a space fighter of the Dryrs-Class in the foreground and a scout of the Amorseono-Class behind the fighter.

At 33,3×30,9×5,65 m, this Dryers space fighter is a little larger than the original design. However, this version is more like a "real" flying animal than the original (see here: fav.me/dbi3aio).

The armament now consists of four retractable missile launchers, each with 50 unguided missiles.

In addition, the Dryrs-Class fighter are now part of the exclusive group of space fighters that have an FTL drive.

The Amorseono-Class has also grown a bit with a size of 208×46,5×47,15 (    a bit  ) (see here: fav.me/dbi3buk ) (By the way, I completely ignore the first redesign from now on)

This scout is still unarmed.

In addition to the redesigns, I have also revised the concept for the Mandrillus.

Here's a, hopefully, short list of what I don't change / what I change about the overall concept of the Mandrillus people:

What remains the same:

1.The Mandrillus were and are reptilians, meaning that this species is derived from reptiles.Like all beings in their home world, they have six extremities and are between 4,35 and 6,2 m long on all six "legs" (the size when they erect the first third of their body is 1,45-2,2 m).

2. Your home world Daswone is a very dry and stormy world with very few resources, in particular there is hardly any metal or other mineral resources.

The Mandrillus are therefore a people of warriors with a strict code of honor who, in addition to the code of honor, only accept the rights of the strongest.

They are also a very spiritual people who regard Daswone as sacred despite or because of the harsh living conditions. This spiritual bond with their home world forces them not to leave this area permanently.

What I am changing:

1.In the original concept, Daswone is a world with high gravity, between 2,5 and 3 g.

Now Daswone is a world with Earth-like gravity.

2.In the old concept of Mandrillus, only their home world is resource-poor. Other nearby worlds have normal amounts of resources.

I change this so that the entire home galaxy of the Mandrillus is relatively low in resources.

This forces them to raid over resource-rich areas again and again instead of simply mining them in their colonies.

3.In the old concept, I had made the Mandrillus experts in the field of artificial gravity or gravimetric technologies.

I am now changing this to the field of bioengineering. Since other life forms are the only common "resource" in their part of the universe, the Mandrillus have become masters of creating organic technologies through genetic manipulation and other techniques.

As a result, the Mandrillus' spaceships do not only look like the animals of their home world for religious reasons.

So, these spaceships were originally created from these animals by bioengineering.

Hello:

Bioengineering is not something too many races do so it is interesting. I am glad you are finally able to start giving ships the shapes you want!
