Hey, thanks! This is my newest painting. Well, my newest painting that's bigger than 12 inches. I sold it already, but it's definitely the direction I'm headed with my work right now.
I appreciate the comment.

Thanks! I only just started doing the small cards. I really do larger, but not too large, mixed media pieces.

It's a eye candy.
Love the mix with all the layers and how you incoporate those "clean" looking anatomy pictures in the whole thing.

Thanks! I try to have some focal points, but I do dirty them up a bit with paint drips, coffee stains, etc to integrate them in the overall composition.

It's actually just a fabric scrap, but nonetheless, I'm glad you like it! You know I always respect your opinion, sir.

I would love this even without the Crusaders.

Thanks. I'm not sure what you mean by that, but thanks!
Are you a big fan of crusaders or are you saying that the piece could do without them?

No, not a fan, just interested in history, so my eye went there first. Contrasted with the tobacco warning and those fun folks at lower right, against the anatomical elements, prominent reds, and (maybe?) white bandage, my mind took itself on an arcane journey of its own. The placement of the florals (what I read as wallpaper fragments)adds another dimension. Your choice and arrangement of pieces made the alchemy. Without the crusaders, this would have been a very different viewing experience for me, but, I rush to assure you, still an amazing one! It's really a powerful piece.

Thanks for the detailed critique.
I just wanted to understand what you meant and I appreciate that you clearly spent a lot of time looking at this. Hell, I painted it and you mentioned stuff I had to spend a minute remembering!

Be glad I have a junky computer with a bitsy screen. Otherwise, I would have probably gone on and on!
