finally, my mood decided to cooperate, and i went through a bunch of photographs from the trip i have taken last year - 4 months in maastricht.the weather there was amazing, quite foggy.
nov 25th, around 7:40am.

This is a beautiful piece. Focus is nice. Once again you have the sort of gradient sky, which looks cool. What is really interesting here is the way that halo of a gradient continues on down into the fog. Very nice. ^.^

P.S. Maybe this would be a good piece to try a square composition with? I think you mentioned that in your one piece. The right side *is* somewhat bare and when I cover the screen with my hand, the center of the three background trees looks kind of nice right on the edge. Just a(nother) thought.

We had some really thick fog here a while ago, the temp got up to 50 F so all of the snow melted really fast and the fog was just rolling around here. Made for some great photos

Wow. This brings back memories. I remember fighting the fog quite a bit. Fortunately, it didn't get in the way of the photographs.
This scene is quite emotional. I love the contrast and the depth. Perhaps * mcismowski is right though. Lights would have made this one jump off the screen. But I'm glad you posted this one.

Great photo. The tree in the foreground adds a much needed contrast that most fog photos are missing, and the background blends together nicely. Fog looks so nice in photos, especially at night around lights.

you're right, fog + night makes for a great mood for a photograph. i even have some photos like that, except they don't feel like they have been shot at night at all.
