Well this is an interesting character & design. I went toΒ *Happylod3 's gallery because I was curious if they did the fins that way, as it's a really neat idea, but I wasn't sure if this was a representational decision on their part of yours or both. In any case, it looks great, and is really cool all around. Awesome binary fins and the sense that one is swimming through data.Β

Amazing! The way you made him flotating among the bits and bytes is amazing!!!!

Ooh...I REALLY like how you blend the organic and the artificial together in this image. Β It shows in every element you use, too; from the colors to the textures, you mix both "worlds" together in excellent fashion, and really bring the character to life as a result. Β Case in point, I love the lighting effects you use throughout, rendering them in very electrical fashion but placing them in a way more suggestive of bioluminescence. Β Or the way you texture the binary code into the fins, making it impossible to miss but giving it the look of real fin-like film. Β Even the sense of floating you create works to tie the elements together; it feels at once like the character's swimming in water and some kind of void. Β Very nice work throughout. ^_^

Well, I think (hope) the original artist kind of intended the circuitry parts to be that way, shining when active, and possibly in mimicry of natural bioluminescence...if not, then I guess...ARTISTIC LICENSE!
Thanks! ^^

Either way, you pretty much knocked it out of the park, so whether that was the original intent or not, I'd say it all worked out. ^3^
Welcome. 83

Where to start! The purple background data against his vivid green fins offers a great contrast. The detail on his fins is amazing, I can't help but wonder how you fit all those data strips in there. He looks like a really interesting character, you did a good job matching Happylod's original design. I love the mesh between aquatic and electric.

What can I say but wow! The level of detail here is amazing. I love the fins--the green computery feel and the binary code in the background are awesome.
I love how bright and tecchy everything looks! This is awesome. Great work.

The vibrancy of the glow and colors is very appealing. The way that you distorted the numbers also must of taken quite a bit of time.

You have to work blind with this particular tool, since it won't show the layers beneath what you're actually working on so you can't use that as a guide, so there was a LOT of ctrl-Z-and-try-again. Thanks!
