I dig how you did his fur and the subtle shines on the webbing(s?) are just fantastic. My only gripe is the background is incredibly strong and it drowns out your linework and shading a bit.

And how nice of you to show up in an awesome new pic, too! You make a lot of REALLY good calls here, Tobi; the textures in particular strike me as just magnificently rendered, especially the fur on his legs and chest. Likewise I'm a big fan of the look of the webbing, not only its silver-sleek color but also the way it spools and slips through Mal's fingers and curls at the ground. And of course your lines are just awesome; Mal's clawed fingers came out particularly well, but I also love the sense of depth you achieve with the placement of the legs.
You're really on a roll right now, and I could not be happier at the results.

Thanks. The new Gimp has a different feel to its blend tool (what I used to make the fur). It doesn't move as many pixels as quickly as I'm used to, not sure if it's good or bad yet.

My sketchbook has a few more of him, including one with normal human proportions and the correct number of body segments, which I hope to clean up and drag out later. He's just kinda hard to draw and I tend to only submit to DA what I think is my best. x3

Mal has silk spigots in the usual place but can also pull a smaller amount from glands in the roof of his mouth. Basically it's for more delicate work like weaving triplines or art pieces than say, catching prey or building traps.
