Here's a comic cover for Mike313's story, "Superwomen of Eva 2: Emerald Courage".The real tricky part about this cover was the planet in the background. I had to do a bit of experimenting before I finally came up with a look I liked. Originally, I had even considered using the planet Oa as the background, but...I have to say it. Oa is not exactly the most visually interesting planet I've ever seen. Oh, well...

With the application of comic-style lineart and some tweaks to the the anatomy of Misato/Green Lantern's legs, I consider this pic to be complete, with no further renditions to be coming. I hope the results meet with everyone's approval.

I see you lightened the colors somewhat from the "after" picture. I'd call this a big improvement over both that and the old version of the cover.

I like how Mistao was picked by the Ring. She seems like the kind of person to get green because of her will power. Also Green Lantern is one of my Favrouts.

Indeed, Misato has certainly survived, mainly because of will alone at times. Though it has been suggested that Blue would also work well for her.
Well, I'm not that big a DC person, but the current Green Lantern series is meeting with my approval. The movie, on the other hand...

Hmm...it could be that I made things darker. I decided to try a darker shade of green for Misato's costume, and she's further away from the Earth, so the background isn't as well lit.

Well like with the other two I'll look over the comparisons a bit and see if I can figure out what exactly is bothering me about all three of em that way.

Though from what I've heard thus far, the vibe I'm getting is that I made them too dark.
Oh, well. I know I said this would be the final mod, but I guess it can't hurt to spend a few seconds adjusting the color if that's the problem.

Yeah though I find something about the whole way they've been darkened a bit off putting particularly in the tempest arcana cover.

True. But then, that's always been the trouble with women in comics (and virtually every other media, come to think about it) in that they never get the credit they deserve. It seems like a lot of writers and what-not seem to take come perverse joy into making them into moral degenerates or whatever.
