I hope you never get bored of this. Good work.

How did you sort out the noise problem with a digital camera and time exposure? I tried the same on my holiday to Namibia and were a bit disappointed with my results.

It's been quite a long time since I've seen a sky shot like this... and strangely, I don't think I have with it focused on that star. Gives a lovely effect.

The pollution giving the red effect is not overall bad, I kind of like it

Thank you for sharing this with us, it's gorgeous.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

P0RG In reply to davincisoprano1 [2008-08-04 20:55:41 +0000 UTC]

I have a Dslr
I exposed it correctly

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

davincisoprano1 In reply to P0RG [2008-08-05 02:11:57 +0000 UTC]

what exactly is correctly? I've been trying to take photos on a 30 sec shutter speed (i don't know if i can get my camera to expose longer) and it's a dslr and i have it on f20 (which is probably not correct) and it comes out white...... even when it's dark out....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

P0RG In reply to davincisoprano1 [2008-08-05 08:39:08 +0000 UTC]

Well, all I can tell you is that the larger the F number is, the darker your photo will be.

I set my dSLR to BULB and bought a locking cable release to allow the camera to expose for 30 minutes. I used f4.0 as that is as low as my cam can go
