So, who out there has seen Dark Knight? Wasn't it AWESOME?? I was so blown away. And Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was nothing short of incredible. And if you haven't seen the movie yet, what are you doing sitting here? Go see it!
So yeah, just a bit of fanart. I centered everything around the color blue, kind of like I did with these two deviations: [link] and [link]
Just ignore whatever perspective errors there are and look at the pretty clouds and swirly cape. It's supposed to be the moonlight shining through the clouds. I was going to include the Batsignal, but everyone does that so I just decided to leave it out.

The texturing on the cape was done completely by hand. I just layered the blue on dark to light, and after I would finish applying a color I would smear it in the places I wanted, and then slap on a new color. I pretty much painted lines flowing in the direction of cape's flow, and then smeared the lines and changed the opacities as I pleased. Glad you like it!

I put some blue glow on the building he's standing on, but if I'm adding red, should I change the color of the glow to be more red or leave it as is?

nope. There could be light from a reddish light source (or blue) from the other side. red would just make it pop more.

Beautiful! The color of blue is perfect. Everything is. While watching the movie I kept slinking down in my seat and pressing the chair back. At the same time I kept clutching my sweater around me closer and tighter then up over my face! A heart pounder

Thank you! Oh yeah, that movie kept me guessing. I ha dabsolutely no clue as to what would come next, and I loved the crazy plot twists. The only thing that bothers me is that they left the Joker hanging, literally and figuratively. I mean, he sure as heck isn't coming back for any sequels.

I heard if the Joker does come back in a future film that Johnny Depp would be asked to fill the role. It was just one plot twist after another. I kept thinking the movie was ending and it just kept going, and going and going.....

Nice! I really like the mood, it's so haunting. I think what would make this piece pop out even more is some atmospheric effect on the buildings in the back, like the lights blurred a bit. But otherwise nice job!
