Very different! I've seen albino and melanistic sliders but this one surprised me. Its true I don't know them very well, but a beatiful pattern anyway.

Great name for it; that turtle will usher you all into the otherworld! Sorry, I find it hilarious that a turtle would be named after a Flying-Dutchman-type ship that carried death wherever it goes, but it's a really cool-sounding name, and I think it suits this guy's eerie, yellow colors.

Thank you and good question! One of the reasons why I have been waiting on posting a photo of her is b/c I'm even not exactly sure. I got her a few weeks ago from a Turtle Rescue and they didn't have a clue. All they could tell me as she as a slider, which is obvious. I've been looking all over the net with no definite answers. Personally I think she's a hybrid of two different slider species. Maybe a Yellow Belly mixed in there. I don't really think she has Red Eared slider in her b/c there is no red at all on her head. And even with RES crosses the majority have some red showing and she has none at all. I haven't totally given up looking so if I do find out I'll definitely post it.

Yeah, she looked Yellow-belly-ish, but I was like...she's different! Her shell markings look like a Cooter though, maybe she's a very bright/hypo Peninsula Cooter? Or a mix, or a cool marked yellow belly? hahaha!
