Now, back to your regularly scheduled program. Let's hope the submission glitch doesn't hit this time...

Here we have my pallanoph character Neng in revised color. Despite the pain of his scarred muzzle, he smiles rather often. Neng does not have a very rosy past (demon-filled is a better description) but he still finds in himself the will to smile through it. It's a reminder that I should probably try to do the same.

I found the scars surprisingly easy to paint. I still have a little bit of difficulty painting eyes, they never seem luminous in the transparent sense. But hopefully you get the idea his eyes are sapphire blue with a thick ring of dark pigment around the edge.

This is actually an experiment: Recently I became obsessed with acquiring new supplies and paints. Among these is a variety of acrylic that Golden makes, called the OPEN line. These paints have an extended drying time in comparison to other acrylics, and have mediums you can add to further manipulate their qualities. I've managed to get my hands on several tubes, and have been experimenting with them in my spare moments. I highly recommend them.

Will likely see some revisions in the future. Maybe at some point this might have a watercolor background... Afterthought much?
