Personally, I liked her. She was tough, had a great personal conflict with regards to her family. And on top of that, I reallyl iked the episodes which focused on her.
So I don't think she deserves the hate people have been throwing at her.

it seems like she takes the place of the second speedy who was female in the teen titans comics...it had pretty much the same line up, superboy, a robin, kidflash...

I never really noticed that she was the only character before the show introduced Zatanna and Rocket who did not wear red. That's actually pretty cool. Haha, but she does follow Green Arrow to a T. That's more than Speedy ever did (he wore red and yellow as GA's protege).
Personally, I don't hate her. I was curious when they brought her in the show, just because the only Artemis Crock was a villain in the comics. Honestly, I've liked what they have done with her. I think she was brilliantly written and developed pretty nicely. I like the fact that the writers could develop her and have her grow as a character. That's something that is easier done than the other characters on the team.
Now, if only you would make one about why everyone hates Miss Martian I will be on your side in an instant. Why in the world is she so popular? She reminds me of the cheer leaders in high school who used to throw coffee at me and have the jocks dumpster toss me. ;-;
