A kind of a special surprise gift for you readers over there. I wanted to celebrate the printing of the second book/volume/chapter/whateveryouwannacallit, and this little tidbit was lying there on the table, so why not.

This is an old thing, I drew it as my attempt of taking part of the 24 hour comic marathon in the fall 2009, so it's been a while. I didn't manage to finish it back then, and I probably won't finish it later either. It's a small little tidbit that I hope still manages to amuse you.

Puppy wurrs! Nightclaw's desigh got changed a little bit after drawing this, but otherwise it's pretty accurate. Look! Morri has actually been puppy-sized at some point! Hafmar and Surama are younger than the rest of the lot, so they didn't take part in the great hunting adventure. Also the mystery of Crippled's hind feet is revealed: Yes, he did have paws, and yup, his toes were exactly as long and spindly as his front paws' fingers. Also Iralbe the elder. I kind if need him soon in the actual comic, so in case I end up drawing the pages at school, having some reference of him online might be handy (which is partly the reason of scanning this). He's exactly as happy as he looks like.

This snippet takes place right after the war, during a great famine that resulted when great numbers of capable hunters had been killed in the war. In order to feed everyone two packs living near the barren border of the Crater, lead by Badjaw and Kraman joined their forces to help each other. Morri, Iralbe (the Name of) and Nightclaw are from Badjaw's pack, the rest lived in Kraman's (who was years later succeeded by Pyramos). They made friends during the temporary joining of the two packs, and when they grew up they formed their own little pack in the lands donated by the old Kraman between his and Badjaw's territories.

A little history lecture, just for the heck of it.
