Also I did took care of some lost cats who where abandoned by their owner or got left by the compound.

What if we can't adopt one? Not everyone has the money to care for one, or they may have too many pets already. Sometimes pity is all we can give. Although I did rescue my most recent kitten from an abusive home. She's gorgeous <3 Of course I do understand what you're getting at.

All of my cats were rescued from certain death - not exactly shelter, but taken from dangerous enviorments where anything bad could have happened and killed them.

I adopted my first shelter cat a year or so ago. That was when I was finally able to have multiple cats (I won't go into the details how I got the first one, it's a long story, but she's not a shelter cat). I would get a dog, but my mom won't let me get one and we're only allowed to have two pets per apartment at our complex. Even though my kitty was quite sickly, he's grown up to be a handsome, adorable boy and I put up with his occasional sickness that come from diseases he got at the shelter.

Has anyone ever noticed that there are no shelter cat commercials? And there are way more cats in the average animal shelter then there are dogs. I love dogs, but I really think they need to make a shelter cat comercial, and this stamp, along with the dog version, is awesome.
And so sorry for commenting on another one of your stamps, but I couldn't help it. this needed to be said.

Thank you for this. My mother worked in a shelter for about eight years, and always told me how people would go: "oh, how sad!" when looking at a shelter cat/dog, and then walk right on by.
