Description The famous Canda One tower at Canary Wharf, London. (UK's tallest building)

[edit: lightened up the crowd and tweaked the levels a bit - cheers for the advice ~djoel ]

Ah, lovely capture... I tried a similar shot a few months ago but it came out :vomit: ; I think the fading light really enhances it greatly

Is that the building with the flashing light at the top? I can see it from my window yay for London buildings.
Love the photograph, everything looks all brilliant and shiny...I'm sure theres a way to say that in photographer-language, but alas, I am not gifted in the art of speech.

ahh I try to shot this building many times without luck... evertime i set up my tripod, there's always a security guard telling me not to take pic!!!

nice work man... I like the sense of height here. the colours are also brilliant... I guess the only thing you could improve is just the lower part, perhaps brighten up the bottom part might enhance the felling of 'connectedness' between the office workers and the building behind them....

Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated!

Good idea about brightening up the bottom bit - it's straight out of the camera as it stands. Maybe I'll have a play with it when I get a chance.

The trick to shooting there is to avoid the tripod! Which obviously makes night shots tricky - a monopod usually does the trick and requires no setting up, so you can get away with it. As for this shot, I took it hand-held, crouching down - there was just about enough light - the sun had just started to drop behind the skyline.

Quite nice - especially still with all the lights on in the building gives it a nice feeling.

Wonderful photograph. Have you tried shooting this at night time? This could also make for an interesting night shot.

Thanks

I think I have a night one somewhere already, but on my old camera. Maybe I'll take one again some time - I didn't have my tripod with me. It was just about dusk so I was lucky there was enough light to get it sharp enough with the camera being hand held. The sunset gives it a night light though I think.
