Description Ok, so after about a 5-6 year hiatus i decided to combine a couple mediums and made these. I realized one thing pretty quickly, i'm pretty rusty at my embossing/repoussé and engraving techniques on leather. It's been a few years since and I was having a hard time with it, oh well it'll come back.

Picture was taken after I had used these during a few fights, it explains the wear and tare.

7-8 Oz Leather, Hardened
Hand formed, dyed and finish
Leather work and tooling by hand.
Covers all around the lower leg including ankle and calf.

22 Ga. copper plating,
Hot and cold tooling by hammers
Copper oxidation and superficial polishing to a mirror finish.
I let a natural oxidation retake the surface for a more natural flat brown look.

I would greatly appreciate being asked for permission to use my image or parts of my image.

Thank you.

Intesting overknee protector design!
How the cupper is fixed on the leather?

When cutting the initial sheet of copper, I added tabs around the shape at strategic locations, so that I could pass them through the leather and just fold them. In the same way that most studs on leather jackets are installed.
