Description Trudi Canavan's Black Magician Trilogy. Again. Wonderful books.

Finally I've cleared my vision of Sonea, and while I was at it I drew her the way she is in each BMT book. It was quite a lot of fun drawing the different Soneas, and I decided to color them as well, though they look nothing like each other. The basic face shape in the upper corner was helping me to remember what I wanted her face to look like, and I ended up inking it, too.

Promarkers, black ink. 3-4 hours. I forgot white ink again!

I'm not an expert, but in my opinion it's really good. I like it. Actually I like your drawings, because you draw characters from The Black Magiciam Trilogy as I imagine them. ; )

I suck at drawing a person aging. I have one character, an elvin warrior, who was 25 years old when I first drew him.
He's......I don't know how old now, but several years older, but..... He still looks more or less 25. Sure, elves age slower than humans, but still. He should age a LITTLE, at least.

ANYWAY! Back to the point: This one looks pretty good.
Me likes it.
And I love that she has freckles!!!

Thanks! The aging bit was hard, and I think the only reason Sonea looks like she's aging is because I just can't draw a character to look like the same twice. After drawing Rapunzel I completely fell for freckles - I just can't stop drawing them! I think Lorkin has some too

And I don't think that with an elf aging is that big a problem. I always thought they live for an eternity, like in LotR, so aging would be very slow if even noticeable.

....Well, I can always add a new scar here and there.... <.< He's the kind of guy who tests the sharpness of his sword by cutting his arm and see how long time it takes to start bleeding. =__=
He really is completely hopeless. I don't know how I ever came up with such a character!!!

Sounds pretty hopeless to me too, new scars are needed.. I think it's wonderful you came up with such a character! I rarely think of any characters at all and it shows in my gallery: fan art after fan art and after that too.
