Description Meet Sirius, the Dog Star and the brightest star in the night sky! A decently-sized main-sequence star with twice the Sun's mass, Sirius appears so brilliant because it is one of the closest stars to the Sun. Actually a binary, consisting of Sirius A, the bright main-sequence star, and Sirius B, a dim white dwarf. Here's Sirius A.

Name: Sirius A. Galaxy/“DOGSTARR”

Celestial Body: Sirius A/Alpha Canis Majoris A

Gender: AMAB Demiboy (he/they)

Orientation: Biromantic Asexual

Age: 230 million

Birthday: Celebrated on August 16

Place of Birth:

Occupation: Singer, model, member of the A List.

Relatives:

Significant Other(s): It’s complicated.

Physical Appearance: 360 cm (11’10”) tall. Mesomorphic ectomorph, with some muscle and little fat. Round face with round chin. Medium tan skin tone with whitish undertones, several bluish white “veins” throughout his face and body. Bluish white four-pointed star tattoos on his cheeks. Light blue eyes. Medium-width nose. Shoulder-length straight white hair with light blue streaks. Usually wears a white T-shirt with a medium blue upside down five-pointed star surrounded by a light blue star; sparkly gray long pants; a metallic gray tailcoat with dark gray diamonds above the elbows and blue, greenish blue, white, and red on the inside; white boots with black soles and laces and a picture of a dog face on them; and star-shaped sunglasses.

Personality: “They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I believe I can empirically disprove that.”

Bold, flashy, always in the spotlight, Sirius A is a dazzling sight. And he’ll be happy to remind you every five seconds. He lives off of attention and fame, unable to tone down his brilliant persona. Why should he hold back, when he’s among the brightest stars in his local neighborhood? Hearing that he was the brightest star in Sol’s sky only added to his ego, which was already large enough to stretch all the way to Sirius B. Everything he does screams for attention, as does everything he wears. He’s known for his stunning outfits to accompany his dramatic performances. Everything he does has to be larger than life, and he makes every mundane task a grand adventure. He’s fiercely competitive, pitting himself against other bright stars in competitions of music, fashion, and who can be the most annoying when they brag about themself. Back when he and his binary partner were young, they were a dynamic duo. Sirius A was the perfect A-List member, and Sirius B was the kind of pretty B star the A List worshiped. The two performed as part of a pop duo, with Sirius B taking the lead. Sirius A secretly felt left out, not because he wasn’t included, but because he couldn’t be center stage. He didn’t dare tell his partner this. Then, Sirius B died. It was a long time coming, sure, but Sirius A ignored all the signs, pressuring Sirius B into performing and working even as he became a red giant. His overexertion culminated when he suddenly collapsed on stage, and Sirius A used the resulting planetary nebula like it was just another decoration. That would normally be considered disrespectful, but no one wished to object to a member of the A List. After that, Sirius A broke up with B, kicked him out of their duo, and started pretending his partner of a hundred million years never existed. Now he spends even more time among the A List, trying to please and impress its self-proclaimed leader Vega. While he rarely interacts with stars cooler than class A, he makes an exception for the G star who puts him on a pedestal for being the brightest star in his sky.

Design Notes: Sirius A is taller than the Sun, sure, but he’s far from the tallest main sequence star. His shapes, except for the required round shapes, are triangular to represent his energetic, lively personality. Sirius A rotates slowly, in contrast to a similar star like Vega, so Sirius is slim, with a round face. A-type stars have color schemes consisting of white, neutral colors, and light blue. His eyes are the closest to the true color of the star, light blue. His star veins (and his tattoos, which are deliberately the same color) are more whitish, and his hair is more white still. His design is full of star shapes since he is the brightest star in the night sky: his shirt, sunglasses, and tattoos all have the viewer seeing stars. His metallic gray coat represents the abundance of metals in the star’s atmosphere as revealed by its metallic absorption lines. The diamond shapes are a reference to Sirius B, which as a white dwarf is composed of carbon and oxygen. Sirius wants the world to know he hasn’t completely forgotten about his partner. The colors on the inside of his coattail reference the apparent color changes Sirius undergoes as it twinkles. There is not enough red on the outfit to be socially unacceptable. His pants are sparkly and shimmery as a reference to Sirius being the brightest star in the night sky and its metallic absorption lines. His shoes have dogs on them because Sirius is the Dog Star. His color scheme looks exactly like the demiboy pride flag, but that was probably subconscious.

Okay, I'll spoil it. Next up is Sirius B.
