as I continued folding it became more and more obvious I haven't chosen the right paper for the model. turns out this kind of craft paper was different than the one i used for the green version. It was thicker, heavier, softer and didn't hold its shape nearly as well as i had hoped.

I also haven't shaped the wings as I had hoped and I left the toes as simple flaps and didn't bother with making the feet look like they actually have claws.

All in all I've decided that I am going to take this as just another test fold, the final fold will most likely be smaller and maybe from something other than craft paper as well. I think dark red would suit it well.
