I would suggest making it very quick but very lightly armored so you use it more for harassing enemy air units rather than direct engagements, like hunting meta vac, over lords with transport sac's or the protoss warp rift thingy
and maybe give the lanser 2 more abilitys, eather on cool down or cost to energy
1. Passive stun, anything it hits with its lance or usesΒ hard shove onΒ will be stunned for a few seconds so that you can either finish them off Β Β run away.
2. Hard shove, instead of hitting mutable units it hits one, like the ravens seekerΒ mine, you target one enemy and do massive damage to them, but at the cost of most of the lancers HP. this would be good a dealing with prossose carriers, tempests , brood lords, and battle ships. but have a hit enemy stuned for like 10 seconds

The sky lancer could have a small passive hp regen, so that it won't be as limited in the long run. You could also give it a damage reduction modifier when charging, so that it can charge into and out of battle without being immediately shot out of the sky.

I'd have it be fairly slow unless it uses its charge ability, so a terran player would have to use their charge to keep it with the rest of their army. I'd also make it have a Strafe/Piece toggle ability that changes charge from an anti infantry machine gun attack to the aforemetioned charge ability. I'd also give it an attack with medium DPS but a high rate of fire, so to make it less situational.

The Terrains having a tunneling unit like the Zerg will be no different than having flying units like the Zerg. Plus, it would be giving those bugs a taste of their own medicine.

This concept looks like a great idea, your drawing is very good.
I have an idea like this one but for Protoss, maybe you could draw the concept.
Here is my idea, a flying wing similar in appearance to the Horten Ho 229 but
with the ends of its wings replaced with psi-blades. The engines should be two
long slits starting from both sides of the triangle point on the back of the wing to a short
distance before the psi-blades. The cockpit should fallow the same curve as the wing
but be covered with armor so only thin slits of the canopy are visible. The design
should be completed with the standard simple gold/blue Protoss color scheme.
This unit would only have the blades for attacking so would not receive damage form
ramming. When using its attack ability you choose three points near each other and
only a few degrees offset from one another, once this is done the craft will rocket along
that path damaging anything it comes in contact with and then must cool down for a short time.
This ship I feel should be called the Protoss Saber.

It looks more line an armored zerg unit than the usually more bulkier and box-like terran. Though, a boxy unit that needs to be aero-dynamic wouldn't work lol. It might fit in with protoss designs, they're much more loose on a central "look".

they already have vikings that can be produced 2 at a time, thors that do splash air damage, plus roided rines tear up all air anyway. they dont need anymore AA.

This was an idea based around very early stages of Heart of the Swarm. These were my thoughts in reply to another person. "In terms of HotS, I made it for Terran cause remember the Thor's anti air missiles will be taken out in HotS. Warhounds won't be an ideal go-to unit to deal with Muta since if a Zerg transitioned out of Muta, it's ground attack wouldn't be efficient against Zerg's ground army. Vikings are actually weak against Muta, and BC's aren't seen much and can be taken down easily by Corruptors. Marine's and turrets will be the best way to deal with Muta harass and since I saw plenty of that in Brood War, I would like to see new mirco to deal with Muta."

I think a better way to have this work would be to have it charge through the units and leave behind a trail of explosives that detonate after 1 second. Adding a ramming mechanic seems like it would be difficult to implement well. Maybe a fusion core upgrade to turn those trailed explosives into mini-spider mines would work too.

Well, the 1 second thing is to give the air units time to run. Since it would still charge, could you imagine how difficult to use mutas would be? You target fire something and from a distance, you get rammed and everything instantly dies. I really think some delay, long enough for a quick unit or a medium speed unit with good reaction time to get away, is necessary.
