Taken at La Brea Tar Pits in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Unlike their modern cousins that live on the prairies, this ancient species lived in a much more woodland environment. They were a favorite food source for Sabertooth Cats, Dire Wolves, Short-Faced Bears, and American Lions
