Well I kinda told myself 'no more snakes'...but we all know how that ends. I found this guy on Craigslist. He's a captive bred Rough Green Snake. The guy works at a wholesaler place and this little guy was not in the greatest shape so he 'brought him home' to find someone to give him a chance. When he says 'brought him home' part of me thinks that meant he stole the animal to keep it from dying in the pet warehouse. Anyway, he's super thin (but green snakes are) and has some stress marks, but if I can get him eating he should be just fine.I haven't told my husband I got another snake...but I think he knows.

What's his temperament like? There was a green snake (not sure if it was rough or smooth) and it was super nervous and used to bounce off the walls of its tank if you went near it

He's very calm. The super nervous one was probably wild caught, this one is captive breed.

I still remember the first python I held, as she was paid across my shoulders and i could literally feel her sigh and relax and she sank into me with her head resting on my hand. it's the coolest thing

He is a cutie! Yes, he is reported to eat crickets. I have set him up a fully natural planted terrarium and hopefully he'll feel comfortable enough to eat. They guy pulled him out of a cage of 300 larger green snakes. It's the dark side of the pet trade. He said that the snake was captive bred and I very much hope that is true.
