Miriana Corbu is an elven necromancer that comes from a town inside the valley the vampire voivode Timur Stiuvanescu reigns over. Like many, Miriana’s childhood was marked by tragedy and death. Her father died during a hunt in the forest when she was not even ten years old, and her mother had to resort to prostitution to ensure their survival. When she was older, her mother’s patrons grew interested in Miriana as well and because they barely got by, she also had to exchange her body for coin. Eventually, her mother dulled her suffering with hallucinogenic herbs and mushrooms, and Miriana had to carry their burden almost by herself. When her mother was killed by an enraged patron years later, Miriana was relieved. At the same time the silence and peace of her mother’s dead body fascinated her. She remembered stories of spells that could raise or enslave the dead. She convinced a local wizard like she had many of her patrons and he told her a sinister but simple ritual which Miriana used to raise and enslave the corpse of her mother. In the coming years she deepened her necromantic knowledge and eventually swarmed the town she lived in with an undead host. Afterwards, the Nightdaughter came to her and offered her guidance which Miriana accepted. Over the following decades, she became a powerful necromancer. When she learned of Timur Stiuvanescu’s true nature, Miriana went to his castle and soon was enamored by him and his undead nature. The voivode favored her eagerness to learn, her talent, and her beauty and finally offered her to become one of his concubines and gift to her undeath. Gladly, Miriana accepted. Since then, many hundred years have passed, and Miriana happily serves her master, using the bodies of those he hangs or impales as her feeding ground for her research and experimentation and delving ever deeper into the secrets of necromancy. Recently, even the jealous Bébinn has taken a liking to Miriana after the Albae sought the necromancer’s help in finding a way to gift Timur a child and Miriana met her with compassion and the promise to help.
