"Vajena Horoshko is a priestess of the Nightmother, a goddess of night, darkness, and nothingness. As one of her oldest priests she has lived through many hardships and crises of faith, emerging all the more faithful every time. She lived in the woods since her childhood, knows much of herbalism and healing. At a young age, she came into contact with all kinds of fey creatures and hags and after proving herself, Vajena became respected by them. With time they taught her some of their magic and after outsmarting a powerful hag coven, Vajena received an enchanted mortar and pestle that she was taught to enlarge and use to fly. She now serves the Night’s Church as its messenger and religious guide to the hags and other fey of her homeland. Despite her age, she still wanders the dense forests and treats with hags and fey alike, while guiding the other Nightpriests with her grandmotherly compassion and wisdom. She hopes to restore her faith to its old glory and eradicate all those who are enemies of the Nightmother."
