Description No, I won't be drawing the actual comic. It takes WAY too long and is WAY too much work, and I hate coming up with plot.

The last time I read "The Awefull Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles" I couldn't help but think that The Great Rumpuscat is clearly a superhero, along the lines of the Christian Bale Batman only possibly with actual superfeline abilities. So then I got onto a whole overthinking binge in which The Great Rumpuscat's civilian identity is Rum Tum Tugger, whose curiosity led him to try on a golden mask possessed by Fireforefiddle, the Fiend of the Fell, which is where his power comes from, and clearly Macavity would have to be his supervillainous nemesis.

The costume designs come from playing in the City of Heroes costume creator. Both of these characters exist as they are depicted here on the Triumph server. I'm pretty sure taking these names is okay, since I'm basing the characters completely off the poems (which I believe are public domain now, right?) and not the slightest on the musical.

The Great Rumpuscat is a claws/dark armor brute who will be turning hero with GR. Macavity is a claws/Super Reflexes stalker.

Aww. But plots are so easy! You just make stuff up and steal half the structure from somebody else.

Its good to be inspired, though. Even if you can't bring it totally into existence.

So what's next? Les Miz as a graphic novel?

What I really want is a Pride and prejudice shoujo manga.

I especially like the blurb in the yellow box. It just screams Golden Age Spider-Man, straight from the pen of Stan Lee himself.

I've never heard of these poems, so I suppose I'll have to look them up.

WOW! I love this! Too bad it would be a pain to make it into a real comic, but this'll do nicely for the fun of it all.

And what the...? Is Macavity turning invisible? Badass...

This is awesome in so many ways. My sister used to be a HUGE Cats fanatic, so I've seen the (film of the) musical dozens of times. Used to know all the words to all the songs, but I'm not sure if I still do.
