Description Pirate Sarah "Crackers" Cracknell ensures the pirate mission on the ruins of Foxbase Alpha will go well. Get your pirate groove on, baby. You're really looking good in those pants.

DAZ built that hellhole of a planet; Iray rained on the parade; Photoshop tried really hard to make it look nice, but Uncle NIK decided he didn't like sunshine and flowers, and made it all war-zone grim. Oh, yeah, this was a war zone. C'est la NIK.

Happy birthday, Laspe . I couldn't afford to hire you a night in the brothel, but I found some bullets.

Thanks! I really enjoy playing with camera angles, s o when something like this comes along, I'm always happy.

That gun is the MKS Tactical Sniper Rifle by Polish (www.daz3d.com/mks-tactical-sni… ). I've been really impressed with his stuff. It doesn't, however, come with pirate stickers. You have to add those yourself

Now that's a pov!  What a great birthday present for an amazing person and artist.  I'm sure he's got puppy eyes for missing out on the Brothel but let me tell you, this is way more flattering.  You rock.

Thanks!

Q: Talon is based on Rune, right? Is she insanely jacked? Crackers is based on Rune (with shorter limbs and slightly more modest implants), but in a relaxed pose, her muscles are weirdly bulky, as if she's lifting weights. Did you find that?

Yes she is based on Rune, then I've finally tuned her face and body to my liking. She definitely has some oddities in her mesh...like I had a hell of a time getting her breasts to my liking and they're still a little wierd but I'm happy with them now.  As with all the daz models when dialing up muscles or sculpting them, they get very strange when bending arms with those so called weird bulky spots...I usually have to get the liquify tool after then and reshape the arms.  I think the arms are the biggest issue, they have so many morphs for refining the body and face etc but not but a few for arm muscles and the likes.  I think it may have something to do with her normal maps on the Rune texture as well.  Talon looks completely different in body without them.  *sighs* lol

OMG, the Rune breasts are the worst of any figure I own. They're so hard to make look real. The muscles are tricky on her, too. I think I'll leave Rune-based figures to you, for the most part. Crackers may only make one more entry as a primary figure.

I haven't tried to resculpt with the liquid tool. I don't use that much, although I used it on the puddle on my most recent piece to get it into some cracks.

LOL, you are so right.  They are funky, but I still love her and I may have to do a nudie just to show what I've done with them.  I could take her into zbrush and fiddle with them but clothing probably wouldn't fit then which sucks.  Who is this "Crackers" you keep talking about? lol  I'm confused. I had to use the liquify tool on both images when it came to her arms, especially the forearm to give it more girth as it should be and then to tone down those stupid bulks that happen on the back of the upper arm.  I actually have another warrior type girl and I haven't use her in a while or looked to see if she suffers from the same issues and you can see her in my gallery...her name is "Aurora" She came to be way before Rune was ever thought of. ha.  I may have to do some form of comparison just for shits and giggles.

I want to see the comparison, and not just for the nudie bit

Crackers is this run-based character.

I looked at Aurora. It's interesting to see how much you've grown artistically. Those early pieces are good—better than 95% of Poser/DAZ-based art I see routinely—but they don't have the elements that make your recent work so far beyond 99.9% of what I see. I don't know that I could articulate what you're doing different—it's not a technical improvement as it is something with artistic vision. Perhaps it's that you've gotten comfortable enough with the tools to let your vision shine through. Whatever it is, the new stuff is almost always stunning.

Ya, I'll definitely have to do one.  Not sure Aurora is as pretty is Talon, but it would be a cool experiment.

I now know who Crackers is!  Comment left.

Agreed, I've not quite been doing this a year and to be quite honest was having a hard time finding my groove and style and now that I'm much more comfortable and knowledgeable about the software that helps quite a bit.  I think with all things when you do it often enough and you're open to learning then there has to be improvement right?

Thank you London, always appreciate your words.
