Description The lead character in my ongoing project. As to not give too much away, he's a vagabond of mysterious origins who has an uncanny ability for attracting savory characters with dubious occupations...namely whores and thieves, and establishes the first commedia dell'arte troupe, known as I SANTI OSTINATI. I love how the dancing figure curls up and forms from the fabric of the character's clothing. Very dreamlike and imaginative.
The face itself was very well drawn, it has lots of character, but not too much (which might have made it look cartoony). The pseudo-realistic style that's present in this is pleasing to look at, and shows a great deal of personality.
I love the wiggly, wavy look that many of the lines have- like on his clothing and on his hands.
Great job.

I appreciate your insight! Your comments were very intuitive, the 'cartoony aspect' is something I have been trying to get away from, which is hard considering how my work seems to be very stylized, and it is always a challenge. Thanks for noticing! It's good to know that I am on the right track. : )

Well, I wouldn't want to seem as though I don't appreciate that sort of art either, because I love stylized work. But a more realistic looking style seemed to suit this picture much better. ^^ I like things that are almost realistic, but still unique to the artists, which I feel that you did a great job on with this picture.
You're obviously a very diverse artist, which is always something to be proud of.
And, you're welcome!
