You don't need your eyes to enjoy the rain.I don't really have much to say about my art much anymore, it seems. I really enjoy doing rain pictures... it probably has a lot to do with the fact that I enjoy the rain a lot myself.
I wanted to do a solo portrait of Zev since I seem to leave him out so much, so here he is. He looks a tad melancholy here. He's probably reflecting back on events of a certain day when it was raining as well.

how do you do that? are you using Photoshop?
ooooorrrrrrr, well my question is how do you make your art look like 3d-ish instead of flat on the paper? cuz even shadowing doestn't hekp with that?

I've had this faved for a while, and I just noticed something when I came back to it - The hair lying on his shoulder seems separate from that shoulder, and I realized it's cause the hair is dark (like it's in shadow) while the cloth in that area is bright. To make it more believable that part of the hair should be brightened. Just mentioning that because I don't usually find stuff to comment on your pictures. I still friggin' <3<3<3 this picture though.

This is a beautiful piece, the colors and details are breath-taking and amazing. Teh mood that you set with this engulfs the viewer and makes them forget about their worries and just disolve inot the picture. Well done, and I hope that you don't mind yet another

Very lovely piece..I finally decide to comment on this.I always enjoy your pictures....since rain always seems to cheer my mood.I also love the sunny background with the clouds.And his skin and hair is colored very pretty...And of course I love the whole thing with his eyes covered and he's still enjoying the rain.Like his hands. Damn, this is truly amazing. It is just so calming... just looking at it it relaxes me. I wish I could go stand out in the rain like that! It isn't raining, though... *sniff sniff*
