Detail shot of the doom staff skull, since you couldn't make out the designs in the other photo.Download for very large.
The whitish-grey areas are actually metallic silver. It's not really evident in the photo.
The gem on the forehead is an onyx.

OMG - I've had an idea like this (using animal bones) to create a mask- yours is undoubtedly more crafted than mine could ever be. I LOVE this!

I made a wolf skull mask once, many many years ago. I really want to remake it someday. I like the idea of skull masks a lot, but haven't had the chance to make one in recent history.

Well, I wasn't able to go around with this really, since it was a commission and I had to get it to its owner. I'm sure people would be pretty freaked out in the dark, though

The skull is real. I really have no clue where the ideas come from. My best guess is that my mind is odd, and so is ~LaughingScarab 's.

It's cast resin, which we were hoping would look like polished stone in the end, so I'm glad you thought that.

I really enjoy that you used both black, and metallic silver.
C: I feel like the design really suits the piece as a whole. It does not completely steal the focus of the work, nor does it go unnoticed. C: It draws just the right amount of attention from the viewer.
