I have never thought about keeping a snake as a pet, I was always brought up to believe that they are dangerous and that people were silly for keeping them as pets. Now I'm older I realise that not all snakes are 'dangerous' and that if handled correctly they can make wonderful pets. The only problem I have now is that my partner is terrified of them!

He is a constrictor,no venom at all so is safe to keep as a pet,he is just a bit grumpy...in the wild,they prey on Rattlesnakes!..

Had an almost 6 year old boa and he was getting a bit too big to hold (reliably) around the daughter, so I know how grumpy they can be. Gave him to a wonderful home and visit him every week
