I didn't watch TV for 4 months, but it's still too fresh to get salvaged.

I agree
With the Internet, TV is more or less obsolete, at least for me.
I use a TV for video games, but I can hook them up to my monitor if I want. My computer can play DVDs too so...why need TV.
TV now just feels like advertisements, people with political agendas using it to push their views, and stupid trendy shit that has zero substance
At least on the Internet I can do my own research on stuff and I'm not just sitting like a lump doing absolutely nothing

I understand the sentiment. There's enough shit on TV already, but it's not without its good points. Though I WILL admit... you have to slog through a lot of garbage to get to these few good points. It's a sad day when there's like, 500 channels on TV and there's nothing good on.

I'd kill mine any day of the week, it's a piece of junk!

Kill it? Maybe some rich folks who can afford trashing their expensive electronics would do that. If I want to get rid of my TV, I'd rather just sell it.
That's a big if though. I still need it to watch movies on VHS, and some channels will occasionally broadcast a good film or cartoon every now and then. Not to mention the news, or some interesting stuff from Discovery or Animal Planet. And I watch up to 4 hours of TV a WEEK, so I can't really say I'm a guy with serious TV addiction problems. The computer on the other hand...
