Description One of the films I am really looking forward to seeing this summer is the latest attempt to re-start the Superman movie franchise, "Man of Steel". It will also be the set up for a DC comic movie universe like the one Marvel Comics has done.

Recently a major character change has been revealed. There will not be a Jimmy Olsen working at the Daily Planet newspaper. Instead it will be Jenny Olsen (no really, it's true.)
Of course long time comic readers know this will be far from the first time Jimmy's been female as this page (and others in coming weeks) will show.
This one is from "Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen" #67 from 1963 and a story entitled 'Leslie Lowe, Girl Reporter'.
Jimmy of course uses impeccable comic book logic to decide to disguise himself as a female.
Judging by his figure ya gotta wonder what else he was using.

I have seen one different from the 3 you posted.  But is was comic drag not passing.  I like your effort to find these.  Yes Jimmy is well padded in the hips/tushie/breast.

Notice also he has a completely different dress and wig in his disguise trunk than in rabbette.deviantart.com/art/No…

You're right. I like the dress and wig better in this one.

Yeah, this one shows off his figure better.
Though he does look cute in that beret in the other one.

Well he showed up in drag for a panel in an All Star Superman comic which was just a few years ago, so he is still at it.

And this wasn´t the only time he donned a dress.
They brought this up in All star superman, only in that comic he did it because he liked it and not just because he needed to get somewhere or anything like that.

Yeah in All Star Superman he was only seen dressed up in a single panel.
I'll be posting other Olsen drag pieces in the next few weeks.

Looking at this makes me wonder why Supes spent so much time tormenting Jimmy in the Silver Age. He was already his own worst enemy.

There used to be a site which had nothing but Silver age comic covers showing why "Superman is a dick".
But yeah Jimmy was always doing stuff to get himself in trouble (while Lois threw herself through open windows to get Supes to rescue her and prove he was really Clark Kent.)
This is actually the worst looking of his big 3 drag stories btw.
Hmmm, wonder if I can find the Hembeck story "Superman's Favorite Transvestite, Jimmy Olsen" It's pretty hilarious.

Yeah, the 'Superdickery' site. I think it's a blog now.

And I remember that for years DC had comics for both Jimmy and Lois, and if it wasn't "Superman teaches them a lesson" it was "Lois/Jimmy does something unspeakably stupid to learn Superman's secret ID and it blows up in their faces".

Knew those type of stories well.
Still fum to re-read and disbelieve.

Though using the same cast Allan Moore did a fantastic end to that era with the "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" story. Still one of my favorites.

Truly a classic, not least for 'killing' Superman and still giving him a happy ending.

Yeah.
It's a telling moment in the story when a couple of his friends comment how they thought he had been crying the night before.
It was his world ending and also an innocent time for the comic character ending.
