Taking a second look at some cool art buried deep in my Gallery here.

One of the first TG stories I found in Golden Age comics and one that sent me searching for more.

Here we see a page from a teenage humor strip called Pickles that appeared in an Archie competitor called Cookie #6 from 1946.

Despite looking like a bad paste up job in the top panels this is exactly how it was printed. In the story Pickles is trying to make his girl jealous by dressing up his male friend Binkie as a sexy female rival for his affection.

No really.
Hey if I was making this up I'd at least have given them better names. I guess this all made sense in the 40s.
More from this title later as there was a LOT of weird dressup stuff in the series.
