The scenery in Assassin's Creed 2 is tremendous. I parked Ezio in a corner and drew the scene in front of me. I just eyeballed it as I drew so there are plenty of errors. I need a lot more practice.Ink, watercolors and a bit of white gouache.

Oh this is just gorgeous! I absolutely love playing in Venice - sometimes I just like to wander around and see what everywhere looks like at different times of the day. You've definetly captured it wonderfully here.

Plus, you make a pretty penny for your treasury as you sit down to watch to gondolas pass. Now, if only they could ferry you around the city... (Why are they scared of me? *sadface*)

Sadly, I have never been to Venice so this is not drawn from life or anything. The closest I can get is a certain video game I have that takes place in Venice. This is a scene from the video game.

I swear that if you did a more polished version of this, I would buy it. There are a few architectural flaws in this, but the overall effect is achieved: beautiful Venice and the people won't live within it
On a improvement note: Concentrate more on where the light is coming from when doing watercolors. In this painting, it seems as if the light is coming from two different directions. If you concentrate on your lighting, then the shadowing will almost come naturally.

This is absolutely amazing!! You really captured one of the most awesome things about the game - how DETAILED it is. No matter where you are or what you're doing there's always stuff going on in the background. I didn't even notice the prostitutes until after I had been looking at it for a few minutes!
