Sometimes you just have to draw sad horses.Was quite a nice piece to work on and of course it's always a pleasure to draw Fluttershy.
May be offering this as a print at Buck next year if I get the chance to vend c:

So first off i'm going to say I don't see many of these types of paintings, normally there cheerful pony paintings, so its a nice change from the usual.
The lighting in the picture is great as it draws your eye down towards Fluttershy and makes your eye take in more detail as she is quite vibrant in comparison to the rst of the painting.
The use of motion in the wings is also good as the way the rains being swept around her shows the wing motion.
I also like the way shes been framed as everything all together seems to make an almost oval frame for her.
Personally I really like this as its a nice change of pace, along with the colours making it eye catching.

Reminds me of "Not letting go" by Prince Whateverer... probably due to the "She's left out in the rain, she's too shy to complain" line.

I've looked at this picture so many times and had it as my wallpaper every now and then and I just barely noticed the gravestone in front of the tree and it gives this so much more meaning.

I get that a lot. I also thought about "Man In The Rain" by Mike Oldfield, but then thought that it didn't really in with the scenario of the image. "Cry" by Godley And Creme seemed more appropriate.

This is so beautifully sad it hurts, but it's awesome. You did a fantastic job showing Fluttershy's misery, especially with the mingling of rain and tears. Yet the optimism still shines like that rainbow, and highlighting her with one of those sunbursts gives the whole picture even more impact. You did a gorgeous job on the pegasus herself, great details and textures, on top of a wonderful set of body language and that heartbreaking expression. Awesome work on the entire landscape, the lovely cottage, and even the stormy sky. There's plenty of amazing detail... down to that one tiny little detail at the base of the tree that explains why she's so miserable. 
Anyway, thanks for making such a great piece and sharing it with us.

Thank you, Fluttershy just has all the right visuals to express emotions of dismay the best in my opinion. Makes it a lot more fun oddly to see how I can make use of her.

I really like the water flinging effect off of her wings, gives the sense that she's actually in motion, even though this doesn't move. Nice job
