Wow... Oh my gosh...
It feels good to get a page out after my hiatus. The extra art practice was nice, but this page challenged me after not making a comic for a month. I forgot how to draw my own characters, backgrounds, effects, blegh...
I need to make a character sheet for them all. I think this page is a significant increase in art quality. But I still need to work on consistancy. #goals .
Anyway. I'm excited. This page was a bit experiemental. There's a lot of dialogue, and a lot of subtle motion and expression of the characters. I really had to try to convey things that aren't being said... Which is quite a bit. I hope I succeeded in that endeavor. Learning experiences.
Now we start getting somewhere, and I'm excited for the next two pages, if not everything else.

If you ever come back Rasarak, just know, it doesn't matter how long you've been away - when a comic is this good (especially so early in the run!) there will always be people who want to see more, no matter how long it takes.

Yeah, he (Silver) meant the Cyndaquil (Rose.) The Totodile (Baldur) corrected him when he called her an "It", so he aggressively threw it back at him.

Imma just echo everyone else's thoughts here and say DAMN that Totodile is kickass. Also, it took me an embarrassingly long time for me to figure out why you kept placing emphasis on "her", but I really liked it once I did. Baldur is clearly correcting him, but without getting preachy about it, and Silver's response is just biting; like, "fine, whatever will make you happy, now follow my damn orders". It sends a strong statement on both sides without taking them out of the conversation they're having.
I also really like this angle of why Silver doesn't win this battle, especially since Baldur is clearly stronger than Rose. I always find it a bit hard to believe when the rivals always lose to the protagonists (even though it happens in-game), so I appreciate it when writers opt for a different approach once in a while. I thought this was clever, and it provided some great character depth. I'm really looking to seeing where this goes.

I love it when pokemon are portrayed like this. That they have their own minds, their own morals, their own desires. I'm glad that this conflict was put in, and that Baldur is asserting himself. Silver has a lot to learn about leadership. Your lineart is really good, I saw no colors out of line, and your lighting is top notch. Very nice job!

for the longest time I was so worried about the pokechildren and if the rivalry between their trainers (or on silvers behalf) would spoil their bond but seeing Silver get schooled byΒ Baldur was so satisfying ;w; I'm so proud of the crocbaby for standing up to his boss pressing the pokeball was an awesome gesture like "bitch I'm out.
