Description
This was done in pastel on velour paper..still lots to learn about how to use pastel.. but im excited to have finally done my fav animal a bird!!

What kind of pastels do you use??? I have ones that are kind of like chalk? Like little square rectangular blocks (forgot brand =/) and there is no way i could ever see myself getting anything that fine and beautiful lol

they are the same ones i used no doubt, faber castell, nupastel and yup they are like lego pieces lol.. i also used some rembrandt which are rounder.. you kind of draw with the corners of them for the finer detail if that makes sense and thankyou very much for your comments

I bought some pastels, but I'm not so good at blending and coloring, and those things. What's the best way to do that?

hmm well it depends on the surface you use.. if its a non textured card you can finger blend , but on textured or velour paper, you blend by overlaying colour. this drawing was done on velour so i over layered colours
