Description
I had this 90% finished for like a year. >_> BUT got a newer used laptop and needed to test out photoshop's color output so I thought this would do. Added texture and refined some things. Still not finished but eh...I'll get around to it one day. An old original character of mine.
Does this look dark? Light? Just right? It's supposed to be midtone grays, with of course black and white for shadows and highlights.

Well I meant to finish his hair and his shirt at least, the shirt is supposed to have a black strap that connects the two sides in the front but I got lazy. It's weird because I made this in black and white so I could test value and when I looked at it on my desktop it also has a yellow tint. I think something is up with my desktop's color settings.

Oh, it doesn't have a yellow tint on my end, but I am using an external monitor. I know my laptop (HP) screen has a yellow tint to it, though and some Laptops actually have blue tints to them. It's sooooo annoying. This is also why I bought an external Monitor - since in my line of work, too, things have to look pretty accurate.
I think he looks ok right now, though. If you want to go back and mess with it more, that's ok, too

Yeah that's always the problem. Monitors have so many different color schemes and stuff and by the time I get something new i always forget what settings I had to use on my last one. XD Everything I did on my last laptop seems to have come out too light and a little yellowish, but that laptop had a monitor issue where it was much dimmer than it was supposed to be even at full brightness so I usually overcompensated. It sucks too because some things lost detail almost completely when viewing on another computer. One day I'll just invest in a Cintiq or something that's actually calibrated for digital art. I mean for me personally I don't care too much but I want people to get the colors they want, you know. :/
If he looks fine then i'll leave it at that. He looks fine on both my laptop and my phone and my friend's laptop so I think the problem lies with my desktop monitor. I
ll just have to fiddle with the settings over there I guess.

Hurrah! Thanks for the input. I've been trying to adjust the color management on this thing for days. I'll do a color test soon and see how that one goes as well.

I think there is skill involved ^^ otherwise you would just have applied the brush all over the place XD But here it's more defined in some places and softer in others

Yeah I guess so. I never think about it because all of that is just information my brain has picked up looking at real photos/real people.
