Description There's a long line of different processes behind this picture...

One day I thought, what would happen if I take several photos with a person in the middle and merge them all together? So I went out, took about 60 shots with a person in the middle and merged them all together! The result was an irrecognizable piece of crap. So I started again by shading the persons, to let them stand out a little more against their surrounding. Merged them again - and voilΓ‘ - it worked.
I added two more human silhouettes from other versions, played around with tint, contrast and levels until I came up with this yellow/green version. When I looked at it I wasn't sure if I should submit it and left it alone...
But then I heard of a so called 'gel medium transfer' technique [link] which lets you transfer (besides other media) inkjet prints to any kind of surface. What you see here e.g. is a transparent film to canvas transfer.
Last but not least scanned again, sharpened, frame, signature

yo created a non indentity person. complity erased.that reminds me when one are walkingin the street and see faces of people eyes watching each other no one can see oneself in the other . onself erased lost in the crowd . sometimes i like that feeling dont know why..

thank you.
yeah, I know what you mean. that can be really disturbing for people not used to this. once a refugee from africa told me that it was very hard in the beginning because he was from a little village where everybody konws everybody else.
please have also a look at this here. [link]

a real winner! The new techniques we now have availalble are really starting to change our art.

I have just started to play around with similar.

Love it, I've always liked minimalistic art.

Nah, not like the process was that minimalistic but, you know what I mean..

Very interesting. I wonder if maybe there were more shadowing figures in the image if it would add or ruin the image.... Cool look though, just seems kinda empty to me, like not enough going on. I could be screwed up in the head though....no wait, i am.

...so I added two more I simply wasn't sure if something was missing. but I agree with you - it still looks unfinished... I also lost 60% of the details on the transfer..

dragontech22 In reply to rawimage [2006-06-03 03:11:47 +0000 UTC]

Hrmm.. I don't know, I think the figures being just shadows kinda adds to it, I was just thinking of the number of figures. Like maybe a crowd, but then it might look like its an advertisement for a zombie movie or something...or maybe it would be cool, but your the artist of this piece, so all that really matters is if your happy with it. Its still cool looking as is, so don't think i'm putting it down with my opinion, I still like it.
