commission exclusively for and she is very happy with it indeed! ^_^pagan decades all in 6mm AA garnet, dividers are floral silver-capped 6mm obsidian (art nouveau style caps). the centerpiece is a kelt-inspired art nouveau piece, the connectors are art nouveau silver with victorian silver fishhook-style clasp. the final is a silver-set Apache teardrop as per her request (from an estate auction . . . circa 1970's). the garnets are an intense, lush red which wants to photograph black! it sits very comfortably on the neck and isn't nearly as heavy as it looks.

Amazingly enough I was just commenting to a friend about this very thing. I don't know if it's the piece itself, or the way I carry myself when I have it on, but people part before me, and actually rush to open doors before I get to them. I've had two people usher me into line before them at a convenience store, if you can imagine that. I'm a very shy person by nature, and I have to say that it sort of feels like a shield. I've caught myself boldly striding into a room with it on, as if it radiates confidence.

now that is a very cool side-effect! I know I tend to give each piece a part of my energy while creating it (hazard of the work I suppose . . lol), and when putting this one together, I just had this great image in my head of the old Celtic Queens . . like Boudicca. does that make sense? the stones and the silver pieces just seemed to embody confidence, strength, assurance, vitality . . quiet power. that it transfers to you is wonderful!
