Description this is an experiment . . one I couldn't resist. all decades are accurate, with the final decade split in the back. sapphire faceted czech glass beads, antique lead crystal dividers, handmade gold links, gold filigree centerpiece and end-pieces. very comfortable on. and the blue is just intense. I am very happy with how it turned out, though I wish it rested a bit higher.

inspired by recent submissions. he is a natural!

yanno, it's one of my top faves as well! I just love the way it drapes, the way it seems to embrace the neck. have had a few offers for this one already, but can't bear to part with my prototype! that blue . . . it still grabs me. not often I create something like this that I get to keep for me.

not that I haven't managed to acquire more bits and pieces in order to create similar ones, mind you . . .

ok.....now im jealous lol.......that one is absolutly have to be one of my favorites..... it reaches back not only to my upbringing....but it also honors what i believe now......(at least that is what it makes me feel.... what i get from it) an actual union that looks absolutley stunning and WORKS!!! that is one of the hardest things i think to get is something like that that works... without one overpowering the other..... then again lol i just might be crazy but i do love it

thanks hun! I love it when my experiments turn out so well. doesn't always happen! got many wonderful comments on it this morning at my grandfather's funeral (very catholic).

thanks hun! I was trying not to lose the last decade, but still keep it choker length. it looks rather graceful this way, I think.

I don't know how you can criticize this! :shock and amazement: It seems so perfect to me. I am not Catholic, but you have got me falling for these rosaries.

But it seems other religions can have them as well, and that is good. ^__^

it's what I do. *shrugs* dunno why, but I'm always hypercritical of what I create, even when I know I'm happy with it! it's a bad habit.

aww, thanks hun! prayer beads of all kinds fascinate me. I have quite the collection! but then, an exroomie of mine was stationed in Kathmandu for several years, and sent me a lovely bone mala . . that got me started. and you'd be amazed at the number of world faiths that use some sort of bead system for prayer & meditation! there are just so many . . ..

Aye, I do like the idea of prayer beads, and you work very well with them. I have seem some Kemetic prayer beads, and I love them.

gah.. this is so cool!!! the idea to split it in the back is awesome.. though damn it would be hard to find something to wear to compliment it! lol... I actually like where this sits on you chica.. it looks perfect!

so it doesn't look awkward? wasn't too sure about the split in the back, but I barely noticed it was there when I put it on. and it's wayyyy too fancy to just wear . . might wear it to an upcoming yule party though. just to see the reactions!

Not at all! it looks absolutely lovely frankly! It really compliments the shape of your neck.. and it's such a cool concept just to begin with!

I'd always been intrigued by rosaries, but as I'm an "odd" Christian who's seen far too many pagan beasties, I tend to avoid overt expressions of one religion or the other.. I think that's why I've liked the rosaries so much aye! They're simply for prayer.. no matter who you're praying to

aww, thanks hun! me and my long neck. lol . .

rosaries were always something simple and beautiful to me when I was a child. they seemed to be a physical anchor, or at the most extreme, a direct link. a way to intensify the strength and emotion of prayer. and we all pray, one way or another. even atheists! shhh . . many of them that are friends of mine stringently deny that, but I've heard it. ^_^ still, prayer is universal for our species, and I like to think that rosaries/prayer beads/malas are a lovely way to express that without speaking. does that make sense?

Yeah actually! I mean.. how many people with no "faith" will pick up a worry stone? Whether they admit it or not, it's a way of calming thier troubles... ya know? lol

LOL! Nah, it doesn't look akward at all... it's a very cool touch- reminds me of the lines usually left on a geisha's neck somehow.. just accents the neck well...
But yeah.. that would look awesome with any kind of strapless for sure.. maybe an off the shoulder shirt too?

And NOTHING is ever too fancy to wear.. *wink*

awww . . . thank you hun! that is high praise indeed. I personally think everything I create is either divinely inspired or I'm channeling someone else's talent. hard for me to take credit for my own work. lol . . like, more luck than talent!
